Well its not actually the first Thursday of August, however, yesterday was! and let me tell you, it was fun! Now for those poor souls that are not lucky enough to live in B-E-A-UTIFUL Portland, Oregon, let me explain. We have something called first and last Thursday. Basically Portland puts on street fairs on the first and last Thursday of every month. These street fairs, showcase street performers, bands, dancers, fire jugglers, art, food, poetry, ect! Pretty much everything and anything you can think of. Like i said, yesterday was First Thursday! I was with a fantastic group of friends last night including myself, Joseph vogel, Jessica Neciuk, Tori Stern, Billy Moore, Jeff Borota, Michael Stoeger, and Lauren Wahlstrom,! We even Got to listen to a pirate band! We Danced the night away.

Praise God!
Hello my dearest Friends. Its currently August 5th, 2010. Its been a very busy past couple of weeks for me as I have been working, serving, and trying to live my very fast-paced life. Today my friend and co-worker Tori brought up the topic of journalism. Which happens to be her passion, she said to me that she wants to start a blog, but she has no idea what she wants to consistently write about. To me a Blog does not need to have consistency. I believe that a proper definition of a blog, is what ever you make it. That's the beauty of blogging, we don't have a certain outline, or spread sheet to follow. There are no set topics to write about. :] That being said, I have decided to start blogging again. I will start with a praise report that I have to share. A week ago I took flight to Minneapolis Minnesota, to visit world renowned thyroid cancer expert Dr. Ian Hay's.. Dr. Hays has been my doctor for four years now. I go back once a year for three days to have a series of tests done. Every year I end up coming back with the same prognosis. As long as Dr hays has been my doctor, he has been watching a small spot of cancer in my lungs. Now before I go any further you should not be alarmed because the size of this spot is smaller that the tip of a sewing needle. For Three years now he has stated that it has not grown or reduced in size. Thus leaving me with the unsatisfied answer of, "You STILL have cancer, but the good news is that its not spreading or doing anything". Now even though this is fairly positive news I was always looking for the answer more along these lines.. "Dale! Your cancer free! go have fun!" lol Well I am happy to say that this year I got that answer! I have prayed to God for healing, for a fresh start, and God has answered my prayers. According to my Doctor, I am as healthy as can be! For anyone who reads this, I would hope that through this blog you would find that putting your trust in God is something that we all need to do. When I was diagnosed with cancer I accepted that fact that this disease was in my body and there was physically nothing I could do about it, however, the one thing I could do, is put every bit of love and trust into God as I could. That's exactly what I did. I try to live my life to the fullest and serve God through the church. God has used me as a disciple and I have shared my testimony to others to encourage them to keep there heads up, trust God, and stay on the right path. I hope that all of my friends will do that same by knowing they are in good hands. God has a mighty plan for you...so let him take over and put that plan into action. :] thanks for reading!

Planes, Trains, and I'm sick Of Airports...
Well, after a very long day of travel, and stress I'm happy to say that I have arrived home!! good ol' Portland Oregon! There is Nothing better than walking out the doors and experiencing zero humidity, and the smell of that clean Oregon air! Not to say that I didn't have a wonderful time in Florida and Atlanta, However, I'm pleased to be in my own bed, under the roof of my own home, and in the company of my very dear friends! Unfortunately I had to sit in the very LAST row of the airplane, right next to the bathrooms, and behind three obnoxious brothers who made it very hard for me to have a pleasant flight. Oh well, the point is that I'm back home and ready for Summer in P-town to begin! : ]
Sincerely, Dale

the Ice Breaker
How much does a polar bear weigh? enough to break the ice... :] well that was lame, but now that we have broken the ice here, I will start out with telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Dale Alexander Johnson. I was born on December 10th 1990. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I would consider myself to be a fairly out going person who is down to have fun! I love sports and I'm a very athletic person. I'm on Fire for the Lord and its all For The Kingdom. Well that's just a little minuscule amount of information about myself. I'm sure you will learn more in further posts. I should tell you that I am starting this blog as a way to express my creative mind, thoughts, feelings, worries, and hopes. I'm not here looking for the most views, followers, or to showcase anything in particular. However, I am here to be myself! So I hope whoever comes across this blog will find it to be entertaining and useful!
Sincerely, Dale
